5 Tips For Back Pain Relief

There are few things worse than living everyday in back pain. Billions of people around the world live in constant back pain. There are several things that you can do to help prevent and reduce back pain.

1. Get moving. Exercise is one of the most important things you can do for your back. Exercise actually keeps your spine healthy. It can be hard to be motivated to exercise. Think of your favorite activity that is exercise related. Find something that you enjoy to make sure that you actually do it. You’d be surprised how much a little exercise can help. All it takes is 30 minutes of exercise every day (or most days) of the week. Make sure that whatever form of exercise you choose, it gets you breathing heavier and faster. Don’t leave out the strength training to make sure your muscles are healthy and strong too. Walking, jogging, biking and swimming are excellent forms of exercise to choose from.

2. Lose weight. Lugging around all that extra weight makes for hard work for your back and spine. Over half of Americans are considered overweight. Obesity also affects the onset of diabetes, high blood pressure, cancer, heart disease and back pain. True, the spine was designed to distribute your body’s weight. However, too much weight can strain the spine. If this weight isn’t taken off, your spine will begin to wear out.

3. See your doctor. When was the last time you went to the doctor? Checkups are important, especially regular checkups. You need to plan on having a checkup at least twice a year. If is definitely time to see your doctor if you are in back pain. Consult your doctor on which back

4. Good posture. Remember when your mom used to tell you to “Sit Up” and “Don’t slouch?” Good ‘ole Mom knew what she was talking about. Slouching and slumping (while you are sitting or standing) makes your muscles work harder. Having good posture is an important step in protecting your spine.

5. Rest Properly. It is so important that you sleep on the right mattress. Your mattress could be affecting your bad back more than anything else. There aren’t as many ‘grumpy’ employees around the world. Why? Because more and more people are waking up feeling well rested and refreshed, rather than achy and tired. How are these people getting such a good night’s sleep? Memory foam pillows.

Memory Foam From China – Cheap In More Ways Than One

Memory foam mattresses can be excellent products. These mattresses can take you from a bad night’s sleep to a good one. Memory foam mattresses have been proven to significantly reduce pressure points and have been used in the health care industry for decades.

The problem is that there are many cheap, imitation memory foam mattresses that are not beneficial at all. Most of these mattresses are from China. America gets a lot of its products from China (everything from toys to toothbrushes). However, China hasn’t been all that reputable lately.

Remember when the U.S. recalled millions of toys because China had used lead paint? Remember when there was a massive recall of toothbrushes because they were tainted? Remember the tainted wheat gluten? Remember the tainted fish? Yes, all of these harmful products came from China.

Memory foam mattresses from China are not all that different. Chinese manufacturers of memory foam experience a spoilage rate of over 40 percent of all of their foam. Chinese memory foam has no benefit for the sleeper. Instead, you will wake up feeling achy and exhausted.

When these mattresses and mattress toppers are manufactured, they are heavily compressed. This compression process takes all of the life (if there was any to begin with) out of the product. To make things worse, these mattresses often spend weeks and months in storage. The longer memory foam is in storage, the shorter life it has. Chinese memory foam mattresses also have a very strong chemical odor to them.

The bottom line is that Chinese memory foam is not good. It may be cheaper, but these mattresses carry no other benefits. You are much better off spending a little bit more and getting a top-quality, American-made memory foam. This way, you will actually see and feel the quality of your health improve. Simply put, memory foam mattresses from China are cheap in more ways than one.
