Start To Finish, How To Order A Custom Mattress From Rocky Mountain Mattress
For those of you who wonder how it is that we can custom make a mattress that will fit just perfect in your RV, antique bed frame, or yacht, here is a description (with pictures!) of that process from start to finish.
It begins when you contact us with measurements and possibly pictures of your custom furniture or space (see figures 1 and 2 below). We will then quote you both a price and timeline for creating the mattress to fit your needs. If you decide to move forward with a purchase we will send you a RMM Custom Mattress Blueprint (see figure 3 below) based off of the information you have provided to us. If our blueprint is not quite right, we go back to the drawing board (literally). Once you approve the blue print, manufacturing time is typically one week. At the end of the week, we load your new, built to specification, mattress onto a delivery truck and within 2 to 5 days the mattress arrives at your house looking like this! (See images 4 through 6 below).
The pictures you see here are of a custom mattress we recently made for an antique bed frame, which has rounded corners on all four ends. We actually made a pair of these custom mattresses for her matching antique Victorian bed frames.
You can see the bed frame, blueprint, and finished product below.

WOWZERS…that is pretty cool to see the process you go through to get those done and it seems like you could pretty much do anything. Great blueprint too BTW! Are you able to make a mattress in any shape or just rounded corners etc.?

We can make a mattress in pretty much any shape or size you want. You just have to be able to give us specs and pictures. We have made round matts, half moons, star shapes, folding matts. You name it and we can make it.

Do you have to send in a picture with the measurements on it like “image 2″? Or, can you you just send an email with the measurements written down?

All we need are your written measurements with an explanation. From there we will create the blueprint for you to review and sign off on.
