The Most Comfortable Mattress In My House – A Rocky Mountain Mattress Review

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Sometimes you do not have to say a lot in words, to “say a lot”, as was the case with a Rocky Mountain Mattress, memory foam mattress testimonial we received a few days ago. The customer purchased a top of the line memory foam mattress, and had this to say about it:

The Mattress came on the exact day it was supposed to. It was exactly as described. It is the most comfortable mattress in the house. I could not be happier with the product or the service.

Thank you
Margaret Rickards

I love hearing stories (no matter how long) like this, and the thing that stood out in my mind the most was – “the most comfortable mattress in the house”. I really do love hearing from our customers at Rocky Mountain Mattress, and if you are in the market for a new mattress, don’t just take our word for it – take the word of an actual Rocky Mountain Mattress customer.

Sensus Memory Foam Pillow; A Rocky Mountain Mattress Review

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

I know you can go into any major store and find what they are calling a “memory foam pillow”, but the truth of the matter is you are not really getting a quality product. You are probably getting a product that was made in China and has who knows how many un-healthy chemicals in it.

Being in this industry I can’t tell you how many people (but its lots and lots) have come up to me telling stories about buying a memory foam pillow from a major store chain (like Wal Mart) and being truly disappointed by the quality of the product the purchased. They also tell me about the horrible smell the off brand memory foam has, and being even further frustrated when they find the product is made in China.

I hate when people waste money like this, but Rocky Mountain Mattress does have a solution. We offer Sensus memory foam pillows made with quality Foamex brand – made right in America. Sensus memory foam was rated the overall highest quality memory foam mattress by the Wall Street Journal, even beating out Tempur Pedic.

You will not be disappointed with a Rocky Mountain Mattress Sensus Memory Foam Pillow. Here is a picture of the 5lb. Sensus Memory Foam Pillow: Check out the amazing molding that this pillow can do! Talk about a good nights sleep, and healthy neck. No more kinked neck, and waking up sore with this pillow.

Memory Foam Mattress vs Normal Spring Mattress; A Rocky Mountain Mattress Customer Review

Monday, June 16th, 2008

I was talking with a customer who recently purchased a Rocky Mountain Mattress memory foam mattress, and he shared a story with me that I think is worthy of sharing here.

He built his house in the 80′s, and has done several remodels to it since, and the final version of this house has a small staircase leading to the (newly created) upstairs master bedroom. The smaller staircase was not a problem until he proceeds to move his mattress upstairs. The mattress simply would not fit up the small staircase. He had a king sized mattress, and even with it bending as much as he could, there was not way to get the mattress upstairs. He knew he did not want to go to a smaller size mattress as he and his wife and gotten use to a king sized mattress, and enjoyed the extra room.

THE PERFECT SOLUTION:

This is where Rocky Mountain Mattress came into play. He had done a ton of researching online for odd-shaped mattresses, and unique sized mattresses to see if there was anything he could do and came across our site and read about how our memory foam mattresses were shipped. Since the memory foam mattresses do not ship like a traditional spring mattresses, they can be easily carried upstairs in a box. This was the perfect solution to get a king sized mattress through an upstairs hallway that was to small for a traditional spring king mattress.

He was so happy, and thats not the best part of this story. He never slept on a memory foam mattress before, and was worried how he would like it, but he tells me that the only problem he has with it, is its come close to making him late for work on a few occasions because he sleeps so good! Rocky Mountain Mattress also has a 30 night guarantee, so that made it even easier for him to purchase without ever sleeping on a memory foam mattress. He knew that if he did not like it, or had any problems with it that Rocky Mountain Mattress would take it back. I am happy to report that its been several months and he has no intention of returning it. He has told me that he has never slept better, and will recommend to everyone to get a memory foam mattress. I am not sad about that!

I guess when it comes to getting a king size mattress up a small stairway, the memory foam mattress is the winner. I am just glad we could get another believer in the Rocky Mountain Mattress memory foam beds, and happy customer!

Odd-Shaped Mattress Need, And How Rocky Mountain Mattress Helped Another Customer In Need!

Friday, June 13th, 2008

One of the things I love most about summer time is camping, and the long RV road trips, but something I hear from our customers, is that they do not look forward to sleeping time during these outings and trips. Recently I got a request from a customer via email about an odd-shaped mattress he needed for his custom RV.

The email stated that he had his RV custom built to certain specs, including the mattress area, but when he got the RV, the mattress just didn’t quite fit. He was ok with this because he knew he was going to be replacing it anyway. With it not fitting though he realized that he could not buy a normal size mattress because it would not fit (he could clearly see that). So he had an odd-shaped mattress need, and this is where Rocky Mountain Mattress came to the rescue!

We talked about the exact specs that the bed needed to be, and what kind of bed was most comfortable to him. The cool thing with customization of this kind is that we do it two folds. First we can custom size the odd-shape mattress request, and then we can custom the sleep comfort levels (ie; build you the perfect level density of memory foam, and firmness to your likings). After figuring out his level of comfort, we created the perfect custom odd shaped memory foam mattress for his RV.

I can’t wait to hear back from this man after his vacation to see if the custom odd shaped mattress we at Rocky Mountain Mattress created him made the difference, but I am willing to go out on a limb and say it did!

If you have a need for a custom made, or odd shape mattress then let Rocky Mountain Mattress help. Just give Lane a call at (801) 824-5503 and let him know what your custom memory foam mattress needs are!

Where did Memory Foam originate?

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

Memory foam was originally developed by NASA to decrease the very high pressure caused by the extreme g-force occurring during the take-off of the space shuttle. It was never used in the space program but was subsequently used medically, for example by patients who used to lie in bed on hard or very firm mattresses for long periods of time without regularly moving such as being bed-bound after a paralyzing stroke. The pressure over some of their bony regions decreased or stopped the blood flow to the region causing horrific pressure sores and/or gangrene. Memory foam mattresses helped hugely to decrease such events.

Memory foam was initially too expensive for general use, but in recent years it has become cheaper to produce and is now widely available. Its most common domestic uses are mattresses, pillows and mattress toppers (also known as mattress pads). It still has medical uses, such as wheelchair seat cushions, hospital bed pillows and padding for persons suffering long-term pain or postural problems; for example, a memory foam cervical pillow may alleviate chronic neck pain. Its heat-retaining properties may help some pain sufferers who find the added warmth helps to decrease the pain.

A memory foam mattress is usually denser than an ordinary foam mattress. This makes it more supportive but also heavier. It is often seen as a good compromise between the comfort of a soft mattress and the supportiveness of a firm one. Memory foam mattresses often sell for more money than traditional mattresses but they last longer.

Oversized Mattress Need? How Rocky Mountain Mattress Can Help

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

Its that time of year again when orders for oversized mattresses start coming in again here at Rocky Mountain Mattress. Why? People are starting to go camping again, and getting ready to take long vacations in their RVs and are thinking about the nights sleep they are going to have to endure on that annoying old camper or rv mattress. Once they get to the point they can’t take anymore, they give us a call for a custom rv mattress, or oversize mattress that we can cut to any size specifications.

During vacation is when you need your best sleep because you are going so much, and doing so much and you need your inner body batteries recharged. You will not get them recharged with the kind of mattress that comes standard in an RV or camper.

One of the main reasons I am posting this is because we got a request for an oversized mattress that was 9 feet by 9 feet. I am still not sure where this mattress was going to go, or what it was going to go in, but it got me thinking of all the custom size mattresses that we have made over the years here at Rocky Mountain Mattress. I love when people send us pictures of their custom sized mattresses, and where they have put them, and especially when they thank us for how well they are sleeping now. It also makes us feel good when they thank us over and over for the customer service we gave them during the whole process of purchasing a mattress with us.

If you are in need of an oversized mattress, custom rv mattress, or just a custom mattress in general give Lane a call at Rocky Mountain Mattress HQ through this number – (801) 824-5503 and he will assist you, and answer whatever questions you have.

Its time to have a vacation where you remember the fun you had, not how hard getting a good nights sleep was! Let Rocky Mountain Mattress help!
